The Icelandic Coast Guard, the Northern Norway Joint Coordination Center and AECO look forward to again welcoming the Arctic expedition cruise industry, Arctic SAR Entities, relevant authorities, embassies, and academia to the Joint Arctic SAR Event.

During the last decade, Arctic Search and Rescue (SAR) entities and the Arctic expedition cruise industry have strengthened their collaboration through a variety of exercises, projects, and other SAR related activities. The Joint Arctic SAR Event is highly appreciated among these.
Cruise industry representatives and SAR responders describe this arena as very valuable for further developing SAR preparedness and response in the Arctic, as well as being important for information exchange, learning, networking, as well as for new ideas and projects.
